Saucey Kicks

About Us

One day, back in Our senior year of high school in November of 2017 I had just woken up from a nap and called my friend George (co-owner) and I told him "you want to start a business? " at first he thought I was joking then as more in depth I started getting into the business he later found out out I was being serious. That Friday that we held a meeting and everything else is history!

I have always loved art and sneakers from a young age . The passion for sneakers started when I was in the 7th grade in middle school when my mom bought me my first pair of Jordans and I would go home after school and watch youtube videos on how to take care of shoes and restore them. when i went on to high school i took a break from sneakers and focused more on art and perfecting my craft. It was not until my Junior year of high school I started getting back into sneakers but at the time I was restoring my own shoes and shoes I bought from the local thrift store.  After my junior year I started to customize shoes for my friends and teammates... not to long after me and George united to create Saucey Kicks.

Growing up I didn't really care for shoes. I was a skater and I would literally skate in any shoes I had and they would get torn up. I was very poor so I couldn't afford to get new shoes every time  I messed a pair up so I learned how to restore them so I could keep skating. Later down the line, around freshman year, I got a couple pairs of shoes from the Goodwill (a pair of 4's and some Nike penny's) and I  started looking into how to clean and fix them up. That's when my love for sneakers started and it has only grown since. A little later, during the summer going into my Senior year of High School, I started looking into shoe customs. Not long after Cel called me to start up a business and we started "V Town Sauce" we kept the name for a year but decided to change the name to "Saucey Kicks".

Much like George I had no real interest in shoes at a young age or really anything high end or pricey. I always loved things that were simple like those off brand sneakers at payless, so all those fancy sneakers never really hit home for me until I got older and seeing what you wore is a sign of your "status" so my love for things that were simple had to be changed. As high school came and left I began to dabble with computer tech, graphic design, and video editing but during my time in school I was able to improve but not by much. Celerino was in my group of friends but me and him never really hit it off as well as I did with my other friends until we noticed each others video editing skills in class projects and began to work on other videos including his shoe restoration videos. After a while of collaborating, Celerino told me about him wanting to change his restoration business to a shoe customization and restoration business so he and George made the business, I made the logo, and here we are.
